This week of intense training will prepare participants to fully embrace the physicality required for authentic operatic performance without compromising vocal quality.
Course repertoire will include an array of operatic excerpts selected in consultation with staff and participants. These may include physical confrontations (Don José, Carmen & Escamillo, Tosca & Scarpia), depictions of mental instability (Lucia, Macbeth) or situation comedy (Barbiere, Figaro).
(All repertoire to be memorised.)
