This is SLS’s inaugural offering for pianists - a Lied-Masterclass for collaborative storytellers. Duos will explore song cycles from a dramatic perspective, followed by an in-depth study of the orchestral setting.
Subsequently, they will have two opportunities to apply this insight in public performances (including one live-streamed recital), as well as a recording session in our in-house studio.
EACH DUO SHOULD OFFER A SELECTION OF SONG CYCLES
(WHICH MUST ALSO BE ORCHESTRATED) IN CONTRASTING LANGUAGES.
ONE OR TWO CYCLES WILL BE SELECTED FOR THE WORKSHOP
IN CONSULTATION WITH THE COURSE STAFF.
(All repertoire must be memorised.)

Fully furnished/equipped apartments within walking distance of Musikvilla Untersberg are available for approximately €500-600 per week.
Participants may arrive anytime from Saturday November 1st
and depart anytime until Sunday December 5th depending on their availability.
We recommend scheduling a minimum of 7 nights in Großgmain to fully take advantage of the course offerings.
Shared apartments are also available on request.
Payable in full on acceptance into the course.
