This workshop delves into how Shakespeare’s characters are portrayed in opera, including an examination of both the original text and the libretto.
EACH PARTICIPANT SHOULD BRING A MAJOR SHAKESPEAREAN OPERATIC ROLE, SUCH AS:
Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, Hamlet, Ophelia, Falstaff, Otello, Iago, Desdemona, Romeo, Juliette, Lear, Antony, Cleopatra
(All repertoire to be memorised.)
1 private session with each tutor
2 workshops (with all 4 tutors) x 6 days
1 hour stagecraft x 6 days
